The Barber Farm Project follows four generations of a Vermont farm family over more than a decade as they struggle to find a way to keep their land from being developed. The film addresses important agricultural issues like the intergenerational transfer of farms, the challenges of being a small farmer, and the importance of building local food systems. At its heart, though, this is a family story that demonstrates the power of open communication and the importance of never giving up hope. It’s also proof that a movie really can make a difference.
